Christ Episcopal Church, a parish in the Diocese of Georgia, began as a small group of people in the 1890s with a dream of having an Episcopal Church in Dublin. The present church building was constructed in 1898 and consecrated on February 5, 1899, by the Right Reverend C. K. Nelson. It is the oldest standing public building in the city. The church is built in the shape of a cross with its interior constructed of heart pine. Walke Parish Hall, immediately behind, was constructed in 1956.
